You want 100 items; we'll buy mats for the smallest integer number of crafts that hit that target.

Planks's bonus city is Fort Sterling — switch there for the full RRR bump.

Standard recipe — no faction tokens.

Albion's daily event: adds +10 to the return bonus (e.g. 15.3% → 21.9%).

Optional: set an exact return rate, ignoring city, hideout and daily bonus.

Investment is what you buy upfront for the initial crafts. RRR refunds replenish part of the stack as the chain fires. Click the pencil on any row to override a price (useful when AODP misses or you have a stash priced in).

How refining profit works in Albion Online

Refining turns raw resources — ore, hide, fibre, wood and stone — into refined materials: bars, leather, cloth, planks and blocks. Each refined unit needs a lower-tier refined input plus raw of the same tier, so profit depends on three live prices at once: the raw, the lower refined and the output.

Albion's Resource Return Rate (RRR) gives back a portion of the materials you put in — higher in your bonus city, higher again with premium, and stacked further by hideout power + BZ rings in the Black Zone. The calculator treats that return as a discount on your material cost, which is what makes high-volume refining profitable even on thin margins.

Because focus raises the return rate further, the tool reports profit per focus point alongside profit per unit, so you can rank what to refine by the resource you actually run out of.

Faction discount recipe

From T4 onwards, every refining family has an alternative recipe that trades 1 raw resource for 1 T1 faction token. Tokens don't refund through RRR, so they hit cost as a flat per-craft line item — useful when raws are scarce or expensive at your refining city and tokens are floating cheap.

The variant toggle in the calculator swaps the math instantly: you'll see the token row appear in the shopping list, the raw qty drop by 1 per craft, and the cost ladder rebalance.

FAQ

Is the refining calculator free?

Yes. The calculator and live prices are free and need no account. Saved orders persist in your browser. Signing in adds saved presets that follow you across devices and lets you apply your character's real refining mastery.

Where do the prices come from?

From the Albion Online Data Project (AODP), which polls the in-game market roughly every five minutes. AlbionCore caches those reads to keep the tool fast.

Does it account for focus and the bonus city?

Yes — return rate is modelled with focus and bonus-city stacking (and hideout power + BZ rings inside the Black Zone). Every result is shown both per unit and per focus point.
